CASA OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY TX GALA

Montgomery County, TX USA

February 2018

EnerCorp Sand Solutions and Intervale Capital employees enjoyed a night out for a great cause in support of CASA of Montgomery County TX.

On this night our team raised over $20,000 dollars in both company and employee contributions supporting an organization that provides highly trained volunteers to represent children in the court system when they are taken from their homes by CPS due to abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers serve as the “eyes and ears” for the judge in child welfare cases. This includes researching each child’s situation and making objective recommendations to help them reclaim their childhoods from abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers are frequently the only stable presence in these children’s lives as they navigate the foster care system.

EnerCorp is proud to support such a worthy cause to ensure the children of our community have a voice and a chance for a better tomorrow!

Entertaining Children in the Hospital

Grande Prairie Hospital Foundation, Grande Prairie, Alberta

Update (April 1/2016)

EnerCorp Fabricators Inc. in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Foundation donated $2500 and 30 teddy bears to the Pediatric Ward at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie.

Half of the donations were raised by EnerCorp staff at the 2015 annual Christmas Party in Grande Prairie and the other half was matched by company President and CEO, Justin Morin.

The Teddy Bears were handed out to children at the hospital over the Christmas Holidays during pre and post-surgery. The bears helped children cope with the stresses of surgery and also gave them something to bring home upon their release.

The cash donation was spent on an entertainment area that will be built over the first quarter of 2016 in the Pediatric Ward. The new entertainment area will provide children and their families the opportunity to watch movies, play video games or simply relax on the new furniture. We can’t wait to see the finished product! We will update everyone when the project is completed!

Construction is complete.

Check out the before and after pictures of the new entertainment area in the Pediatric ward at the Grande Prairie QEII Hospital.

Calgary Foundation

Wood’s Homes, Juno House, Calgary Counselling Centre

  • It’s almost impossible to say the name “W. Brett Wilson” in Calgary’s business community without immediate recognition. Known as a business leader and philanthropist, in 2013 and 2014 Brett focused on tackling the issue of adolescent mental health.
  • “Handing our contribution over to Brett’s cause was an easy decision. We believe so much in the power of students in this province, yet often they need more than just help with a career or scholarship,” said Justin Morin, CEO and President of Dynacorp. “Organizations like Wood’s Homes, Juno House, and the Calgary Counselling Centre ensure those students have a strong foundation internally. Then we can help with the external, like employing them in successful, long-term careers.”

Strengthening Safety

Grande Prairie Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

At Dynacorp, employee safety has always been the most important priority, in every one of our business lines.

Safety for employees and their families off the jobsite is critical as well. With its passion for safety, Dynacorp has donated repeatedly to Grande Prairie EMS over the past decade, ensuring the organization receives funding for injury prevention, emergency medical response, community health and public education.

“Grande Prairie EMS is a critical link for safety in our community,” said Patrick McDonald, Safety Manager for Dynacorp. “Dynacorp understands the importance of safety and the far-reaching effects that an injury can have. At the end of the day, an injury affects everyone – the employee, their work team, and their family.”
