Mr. Permann has oversight over all manufacturing projects in EnerCorp’s Grande Prairie and Calgary facilities. He is responsible for coordinating the various disciplines and teams, including estimating and quoting, ensuring that renderings and drawings are completed and approved, and liaising with the operations group during fabrication. Mr. Permann works closely with customers and EnerCorp’s business development group in shaping new projects, applying his many years of manufacturing experience, technical background and equipment knowledge to add customer value, ensuring the product works as intended and serves the customer’s needs.

Mr. Permann joined Dynacorp in January 2010 as shop manager of the Calgary facility. In this role, he coordinated the activities of up to 60 shop personnel in all disciplines, managed all sub-contractors, ensured quality, safety and functionality of the shop and mentored new employees. He was promoted to operations manager in 2012. In this role, he was responsible for financial as well as operational matters. In addition to managing project execution, personnel, project scheduling and ensuring customer satisfaction, he was responsible for budgetary, financial, invoicing and cost management activities in the Calgary facility. Mr. Permann moved into his current role in early 2014.

Prior to joining EnerCorp, he was a B-pressure welder/vessel fitter at Cameron Process Systems, manufacturing large treaters and pressure vessels. Mr. Permann began his career with Aker Solutions, spending approximately six years with the company, where he became a journeyman welder and B-pressure welder, manufacturing large process skids and vessels. During his time with Aker, he spent seven months in Malaysia as an internal consultant and project manager. Reporting to the company’s vice president of operations, he audited the company’s manufacturing processes in Malaysia, including the quality of welding and welders, and provided insight into making improvements. As project manager, he managed project schedules, coordinated and oversaw the execution of day-to-day work of the welding team. He helped improve the profitability of the Malaysian operations. Mr. Permann grew up in Calgary, Alberta, where he attended SAIT Polytechnic while becoming a welder, obtaining his Red Seal Certificate.
