EnerCorp is a member of ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta, PECSafety, and the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA).

Enercorp is OSHA compliant and holds its Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Alberta government.  Both attest to Enercorp’s commitment to providing a safe work environment for its employees and customers across North America.

The team at Enercorp recognizes the value of building a safe work culture. From our manufacturing facility, to our operations facilities, and ultimately in the field, we strive for Safe Operations.

Real safety is not achieved by accident, but rather by consistent effort from each employee. We employ full-time, dedicated HSE professionals in each region of operation to assist our teams in compliance and with building a healthy safety culture.

Our goal is to send each employee home to his or her family free of injury or illness and able to enjoy the fruit of their labor.

EnerCorp’s goal is to have an injury and incident-free workplace. We are committed to a strong safety program that:

  • Protects our workers, customers and the public;
  • Protects our facilities and equipment, and our customers’ assets;
  • Safeguards the environment; and
  • Complies with government legislation and regulation in all operating areas, including OSHA requirements in all operating areas across North America.

EnerCorp provides the following safety measures, all of which are customized to the company’s specific operating conditions:

  • A comprehensive in-house safety training program including numerous courses such as fall protection, confined space, WHMIS, hazard assessment, TDG, log book, and overhead crane for workers;
  • Workers are only permitted to operate equipment after receiving the proper training and are deemed competent;
  • An electronic, behavior-based safety observation program that can be accessed from any smart device; providing employees with an easy to use system and managers with instantaneous access to submitted observations so they can respond to issues in real-time;
  • For field workers, all safety training required by customers, including major companies include external training such as First Aid, H2S Alive, Gas Detection & Control, Bear Awareness, Light Duty Picker and any other training requirements;
  • A drug and alcohol program that includes pre-employment testing plus individual substance abuse testing upon reasonable cause;
  • Company provided PPE that comply with industry regulations;
  • Equipment innovations that provide added safety and security for personnel, such as the gantry systems developed for the Sand Filtration Units that assist operators with heavy lifts;
  • A preventative maintenance program that ensures tools and equipment are in top operating condition; and
  • Customized shop equipment that contributes to safer working conditions, such as on and around pressure vessels.

At EnerCorp, safety is everyone’s business.

Management supports and expects participation in the safety program by all workers.

In return for receiving comprehensive safety training, equipment and working under safety-oriented management, workers are expected to take responsibility for their safety and that of fellow workers. They are to inform supervisors of any unsafe work conditions and must report all incidents and near-misses immediately. This approach is consistent with EnerCorp’s philosophy of equipping its people properly, and then giving its people responsibility and the freedom to excel in their jobs.

All EnerCorp employees, including management and supervisors, administrative employees, tradespeople and labourers, contractors and sub-contractors are responsible and accountable for obeying all safety rules, following safe work practices and procedures, and wearing the required personal protective equipment. Everyone has the right and responsibility to exercise their stop work authority when they are aware of unsafe conditions. Those who knowingly violate our safety rules may face disciplinary action, dismissal or legal action.

EnerCorp treats basic safety and health legislation as a minimum standard rather than a maximum.

By fulfilling our safety responsibilities, everyone who works for our company will share the benefits of a safe workplace.

The safety information on the web page does not take precedence over the Occupational Health and Safety Act, regulations and codes (in Canada) or OSHA (in the United States). All employees should be familiar with the legislation and regulations as these pertain to their work.
