B-Pressure Welder Experienced in Pressure Vessels


Position Summary

Reporting directly to the department Lead Hand. The B-Pressure Welder will have 3 to 5 years of direct experience, a clear focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position. As a B-Pressure Welder you must have experience producing quality products with an attention to detail in order to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations. You must be able to read and interpret vessel and piping drawings in order to determine welding sequence and welding requirements. You will lead by example in this position and will adhere to and respect the EnerCorp Company Values

Expected Contributions

  • Learn and follow all of EnerCorp’s safety regulations and procedures
  • Study detail drawings to determine material requirements and welding sequence
  • Read and comprehend Vessel and Piping detail prints, section views, weld symbols
  • Move parts into position, manually or by using tools, hoists or cranes
  • May repair products by dismantling straightening, re-shaping, and re-assembling
  • Maintain time, production and quality of work to minimize defects and re-work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be a certified B-Pressure Welder
  • Overhead Crane Operator Certification would be an asset
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrate good hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Familiar and comfortable with various machinery
  • Effective verbal and listening skills with a safety conscious work behavior
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent demanding deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and organizational, planning skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
